Since 1987 it has been my absolute pleasure and privilege to provide dentistry to individuals and families like yours. It’s you, the patients, who provide the personal relationships that make my profession so rewarding. I think we have something very special at 10 Everett St., with fantastic staff, a warm environment and a philosophy that provides you with the best dental care that truly fits your personal needs. That is why, after all these years, it is difficult for me to say that I am retiring.
I have never had a timetable for retirement and have been willing to wait to find a dentist who would be the right for to provide you with the same style, philosophy, and quality of patient care you have come to expect.
In the spring, Dr. Chadd Cockrell expressed an interest in my practice. I have known about Dr. Cockrell for several years, and his wife, Anna, was a patient in my office until she left Maine to go to college. Over the years her parents had told me about a dental student who became Anna's boyfriend, fiancee, and then husband. They are very excited to return to Maine and are especially thrilled to have the opportunity to serve the community where she grew up. They share a vision for my dental practice that is truly patient and community centered.
As of August 7, 2017, Dr. Cockrell will be providing you with your dental care. Dr. Cockrell and I have worked closely together to ensure a smooth transition. Laura will still be at the front, Sam will be his assistant, and Nicole, Nikki and Erica will be your hygienists. I will be available for consultation, advice, support and to finish work that is in progress.
I have absolute confidence that you will be happy with Dr. Cockrell as your dentist. He is passionate about dentistry, a man of integrity, and is skilled, thorough, and kind. He and Anna are genuinely good people.
Thank you again for your friendship, loyalty, and confidence. I will miss you all.
